Bengaluru Central MP Appeals for Centre’s Help in Reviving Lakes
28th June 2019, NEWS

With great power comes great responsibility.

When we find politicians putting their power to good use, it is commendable.

Bengaluru Central MP P C Mohan, on the 25th of June, appealed for the Centre's help in protecting, reviving and further developing the lakes of Bengaluru.

He claimed that the State government is not interested enough to take up the lake issues. He has appealed for the Centre to step in and take charge of the situation and prevent further encroachments.

The grants and funds allocated to State authorities to take care of the lakes are going ignored. Such apathy cannot be rectified and therefore it would be much more effective if the Centre takes the responsibility of reviving the dying legacy of Kempe Gowda I, Bengaluru’s crown jewels - its lakes.
